For URST, ANTH, INTS, and SOC Students
T/Th 10:50 a.m.–12:05 p.m.

Ethnography is a qualitative research method used across the humanistic social sciences that involves naturalistic observation and interaction. In this course students will explore urban ethnographic research methods and their intrinsic value to urban inquiry. Together we will read and analyze a broad array of urban ethnographic work from across the globe, explore the city of Hartford with ethnographic eyes, and learn to translate our observations in ethnographic writing!
