FY/SY Dance Ensemble (THDN 135) – For first- and second-year students, this course explores dance practice across a variety of forms, digs into new creative processes and performance opportunities, and considers myriad ways dance might connect us with other aspects of the college and the larger Hartford community. Improvisation as Composition (THDN 140) – For all students, regardless of experience, this course explores improvisation as a fabulous tool for composing dances, or anything really. Our work will involve physical investigations that help us discover new possibilities in motion. In questioning what we move, how we move, where, when and why we move—we begin developing a thrilling, personalized understanding of our own art of dance. (MW 1:15-3:15 PM) View the flyer
