JOHN AXELRAD, ACE, is a feature film editor based in Los Angeles. In this hour-long talk, John will demonstrate editing tricks used to change plot and story, and how to truncate over-written material, a common challenge in film editing. He will also answer your questions about picture editing and the film business. John began his career mentored by legendary editors such as Anne V. Coates (Lawrence of Arabia), while working on Steven Soderbergh’s films Out of Sight and Erin Brockovich.  Films John edited include:
