A message to the Trinity community about college’s compliance reporting program and policy.
September 26, 2022
To Members of the Trinity Community,
High ethical standards, accountability and integrity are key components of our culture. Each member of our community is responsible for safeguarding our culture and demonstrating ethics and integrity in our work. One way to meet this responsibility is to call out behavior that falls short of this expectation.
To facilitate enforcement of these standards, the college maintains a Compliance Reporting Program comprised of a “hotline” and an on-line platform that employees, contractors and vendors may use to anonymously or confidentially report suspected violations of Trinity’s standards of conduct, policies, or state or federal laws and regulations.
The compliance hotline and online portal are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are operated on our behalf by NAVEX Global Inc., a trusted independent firm. The compliance hotline number is 866-934-4567, with a live person at the other end. The online portal can be accessed at www.trincoll.alertline.com, or at www.trincoll.edu, Trinity A-Z under “Compliance Reporting Program”. These resources do not replace other reporting options available to you, including supervisors, managers, and human resources staff, but instead should be regarded as alternate channels to assist the college in maintaining and enforcing its ethical business standards.
It is possible to use the hotline to make a verbal anonymous report, where the law permits. If you choose to give your name, we will treat that information as confidential unless the law requires us to disclose names provided.
The college does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who speaks up, in good faith, to report a potential violation of our standards, or the law. You will not be fired, demoted or reprimanded for making a report. If someone does retaliate against an employee for making a good faith report, the college will take appropriate disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. The college also will take appropriate disciplinary action against anyone who intentionally makes a false report.
Thank you for your help in continuing the success of our compliance reporting program.
Sincerely,
Damian Wilmot ‘97
