Art+Feminism CT will take place on Thursday, March 7th from 12:15-2:15 PM in Alden Trust Computing Lab B02 (Level B) in the Raether Library and Information Technology Center.
Art+Feminism is a national campaign that aims to introduce volunteers to editing Wikipedia while increasing the representation of women and non-binary artists on Wikipedia.
This year, we are joined by our partners, the Center for Hartford Engagement and Research (CHER), the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, and the Hartford History Center in offering training for new editors and research anyone can use to make easy edits and additions to Wikipedia. We will be focusing on editing and creating pages for Connecticut artists and arts organizations.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
We hope to welcome volunteers who are new to editing Wikipedia and those with experience.
We will have lunch available for editors, along with art+feminism swag.
All participants are asked to bring their own laptops or tablets.
Walk-ins welcome, but we’d appreciate registrations on the calendar event page: https://events.trincoll.edu/event/153945-artfeminism-wikipedia-edit-a-thon
