J-Term Intent to Study Away – External Programs Form now OPEN!

Are you planning on studying away on an external program for J-Term? The J-Term Intent to Study Away – External Programs form is now open! Submit the form by December 1st, 2023 to let the OSA know which program you will be going on.

All students accepted and committed to an ACADEMIC external J-Term study away program must submit this J-Term Intent to Study Away. This informs Trinity College of their J-Term study away plans and ensures they are enrolled in international safety and medical insurance.

THIS INCLUDES :

  • International J-Term programs with academic courses/credit
  • International J-Term internships for academic credit
  • International J-Term research for academic credit
  • Any other international J-Term experience baring academic credit
  • Any US based study away program who offers J-Term programing for academic credit.

THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE:

  • Trinity College Rome Campus J-Term Program
  • International or Domestic personal J-Term travel, work, internship, etc. without academic credit
  • J-Term courses taken at an American University/College (Students should work directly with the Registrar’s Office for this type of J-Term course)
  • If you are an international student, any J-Term courses taken at a University/College in your home country.

BEFORE SUBMITTING THIS FORM:

  • Meet with a study away adviser if you have questions about your J-Term plans.
  • Meet with your academic adviser and/or a faculty member in your major/minor to discuss the course(s) you will take while away.
  • Submit a program application and receive your acceptance to the J-Term study away program. If you have not been accepted yet wait until you have your official acceptance.

FINANCING STUDY AWAY: Students who study away on external J-Term programs will pay the program directly. Financial Aid does not apply to J-Term study away.

If your J-Term study away plans change, you must contact the Office of Study Away ([email protected]) to withdraw this Intent Form.

This form is due by December 1st, 2023.
