Transfer Student Advising
You will determine your first semester’s courses and be registered to begin at Trinity this spring with the help of your newly assigned academic adviser in the Center for Academic and Experiential Advising. This is one of several important steps that we will ask you to initiate to facilitate a smooth and successful transition to Trinity!

The Center for Academic and Experiential Advising will offer individual virtual advising appointments from January 5 – January 9, 2026. In late December, you will receive an email with the name of your assigned advisor and a link to the appointment Bookings page. Please schedule your appointment as soon as possible to ensure timely support.
Visit the Trinity Plus Curriculum website for information on Trinity’s robust and immersive curricular opportunities. Visit the Trinity College bulletin for more thorough information on general degree requirements, study options, department’s course descriptions, and academic policies.
Please note: A total of 32.00 academic credits plus at least 3 additional academic or co-curricular credits are required for the Bachelor’s degree at Trinity College. A minimum of 18.00 course credits must be earned in residence (taught or supervised by Trinity faculty members). You may take four or five courses each semester. As a new student, you will also want to familiarize yourself of the limited number of applied music courses, theater and dance courses, internships, and teaching assistantships which you may count toward your Trinity degree. The current Bulletin explains those issues, and many others as well.

- Review the schedule of classes to identify courses of interest
- Take a look at common entry courses to majors, as well as a full list of majors and minors available at Trinity
- If you are interested in a health profession, you should contact a member of the Health Professions Advising Committee before making your course selections
- Please make sure that the courses you select do not duplicate courses which you wish to have transferred to Trinity. No credit is awarded for duplicated courses. Visit the Registrar’s Office website for more information about transferring credits.
