Moodle Showcase
What does an effective Moodle course look like? There is no single answer. The strongest course sites reflect the instructor, the subject matter, and the needs of the students. However, seeing how other faculty organize and use Moodle can be a helpful source of ideas.
In a recent survey, Trinity students were asked to identify the best Moodle courses they had taken. The courses featured below were among those recognized by students for providing an especially effective Moodle experience.
With permission from the faculty members who created them, Academic Technology has prepared demonstration copies of these course sites. All student enrollments, submissions, grades, and identifying information have been removed.
As you explore the courses, consider how each instructor:
- Organizes course materials and weekly content
- Makes assignments and expectations easy to find
- Helps students understand what they should do next
- Uses Moodle activities and resources to support learning
- Creates a course site that complements their teaching style
