We are delighted you are thinking about Holy Baptism at Trinity College Chapel. That you are even considering baptism is evidence that the Holy Spirit is at work in your life.

The Church teaches that Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit, into the Christian faith and life. Through baptism we become members of Christ’s Body, the Church, and continue the work of Christ in the world: healing, reconciling, loving, and welcoming. Baptism is incorporation into God’s own life. In baptism we are assured of acceptance as God’s children and are sealed by the Holy Spirit, claimed and made Christ’s own forever. Something so important deserves careful and deliberate preparation and discernment.

Because baptism is the outward and visible action that connects a person to God in a covenant relationship, it belongs in public worship, rather than private ceremony. As such, baptisms are offered in the context of the Chapel’s ongoing liturgical life. At the service, members of the congregation renew their own baptismal vows and welcome the newly baptized into the community of faith.

If you want to move forward with baptism at Trinity College Chapel, you should first contact our chaplain, Fr. Marcus Halley. After you’ve made contact with him, you should fill out the form below.
