Fulco-Cabot Fund for Public Policy & Law Student Research and Engagement

In 2013, Public Policy & Law alumni established a fund in honor of Professor Adrienne “Renny” Fulco and in memory of Professor Edward “Ned” Cabot. The Fulco-Cabot Fund supports Public Policy & Law majors in pursuing research, internships, and other learning opportunities, especially when financial need would otherwise present an obstacle.

Public Policy & Law (PBPL) majors are eligible to apply for funding on a rolling basis throughout the year, though funds are limited. Eligible expenses, in order of priority, are:

  • Research project expenses, with priority given to senior theses
  • Stipends for unpaid summer internships, with priority given to internships completed for PBPL major credit
  • Transport and related costs for internships conducted during the academic year, with priority given to internships completed for PBPL major credit
  • Other research, learning, and engagement expenses at the discretion of the PBPL director

The PBPL director reminds majors of application processes twice a year in October and February, directing them to this application form. The PBPL director reports annual spending to the PBPL alumni advisory board in May each year, without identifying specific student recipients. Questions about the fund can be directed to the director at any time.
