The 74th Honors Day included the presentation of dozens of student awards by faculty and staff members representing academic departments and College offices. At the ceremony in the Chapel on May 2, President Joanne Berger-Sweeney welcomed students, families, and friends, and congratulated everyone who received recognition.
The prizes were presented by Sonia Cardenas, dean of the faculty and vice president for academic affairs and Scott M. Johnson ’97 Distinguished Professor of Political Science; Mitchell Polin ’96, associate dean for curriculum and professor of theater and dance; and Sarah A. Raskin, associate dean for faculty development and Charles A. Dana Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience.
Trinity began the tradition of Honors Day in the spring of 1950, introducing an occasion when all Trinity prizes and awards—with the exception of those given out at Commencement—could be celebrated in the presence of the entire College community.
