Three Trinity College alumnae recently returned to campus to talk about how their careers were influenced and supported by their experiences as English majors. “English isn’t just a degree people find intellectually rewarding, but something that you can use practically,” said Christopher Hager, Hobart Professor of the Humanities and Professor of English.
Gemma Feltovich ’25 is among five student writers from the state selected for this year’s Connecticut Student Poetry Circuit, which presents readings of work by young poets at local colleges. The first stop on the tour will be at Trinity on Tuesday, February 18.

Daniel G. Lugo, currently president of Queens University of Charlotte, was named Trinity College’s 23rd president, a role he will assume on July 1, 2025. Lugo will succeed Joanne Berger-Sweeney, who has led the institution for 11 years.
