Meet the Nominees!

I came to my role at Trinity earlier this year, encouraged by my partner who is a proud alum and former employee. My partner remembered Trinity as one of the best places he had ever worked, with some of the nicest people you could ask for. I can say my experience has more than confirmed that.

Professionally, I have a background in entrepreneurship, which has given me experience navigating competing priorities, building consensus, and seeing projects through from planning to execution. I know how to listen, ask the right questions, and make sure the people I am representing are heard.

That is what draws me to the Exempt Staff Council. I want to help make sure staff voices are part of the conversation, not just in the coffee hours and community events I would love to help organize, but in the committees and conversations that shape how this college operates day to day. I would be honored to serve.

I’m interested in serving on the Exempt Staff Council because I care about how well we’re actually connecting staff, leadership, and the institution’s priorities in a real, day-to-day sense. In my role at Trinity, I spend a lot of time working across teams to navigate complex challenges, manage risk, and keep things moving forward in a way that supports the broader institution.

What I’d bring to the Council is a practical, collaborative approach, grounded in clear communication and making sure people feel heard and represented in ways that matter. I also see a real opportunity to do more in how we surface and promote what the Council already offers. There’s value there, but not everyone sees it or knows how to engage. I want to help change that by making those resources, committees, and opportunities more visible, easier to access, and something people actually connect with and utilize.

I joined the ESC in fall 2024 after hearing about Elizabeth Landell-Simon’s involvement with the NESC. I understood both councils were a place to meet other members of staff, navigate challenges we face, and celebrate our successes. Even though I was early in my Trinity career, I wanted to be a part of that. For these last two years, I have been a part of several committees: events, communications, professional development, and by-laws. I have met more people on campus through the various activities of ESC, including joint initiatives with NESC, Breaking Down Silos, OCB, and so many other campus partners. I think we have a really great momentum going through these partnerships, and I would love to see them continue to flourish if elected for another term.

Hello all,

After 21 years of work at Trinity, entering 3 years earlier as an IDP student and finishing my scholastics as grad school, I am pleasantly surprised to be nominated to sit on the ESC. I have always admired the work of the ESC and would consider it a privilege to serve and give back, to be a part of changes and adaptations that come with a new administration and meet all those colleagues who I currently a referring to as “the new____.” I want to get to know the face (and the personality) that goes with that name and that title that I see in print on the campus website!

Throughout these two decades I have worked across campus literally–and virtually. From the Nutt Building (MCEC) to Vernon St, from the Math center to the formerly known as Multicultural center, finally landing in the Shelby Cullom Davis Endowment and the Formal Organizations Minor (one of Trinity’s larger endowments and the largest minor). I have twice been twice a POSSE mentor, worked with the PRIDE mentors and have even been fortunate enough to teach full semester English courses and cover for faculty when needed.

I do love Trinity both as an alma mater and an employer. This college has made it possible for me to spend a summer semester on the Rome campus and allowed me the opportunity to go to Israel to a Trinity archeological dig.

When my husband died, Trinity was there for me. And I will always remember the love and consideration that came from so many–many I had never even met! So many reasons to “give back” and still have fun. Looking forward to serving if you choose me. Thank you for thinking of me!

I bring prior experience serving as a NESC representative on the ESC, which has given me a strong understanding of the committee’s role, processes, and collaborative culture.

I am motivated to serve again in order to help strengthen a sense of connection and shared purpose at Trinity. As both a staff member and alumni, I care deeply about fostering a more cohesive community and I would value the opportunity to contribute my experience and perspective to support that goal through the work of the ESC.
