Trinity College is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our students—their awards, achievements, and wide-ranging involvement on campus and beyond. From academic excellence and creative work to leadership, research, and community engagement, Trinity students make meaningful contributions in every arena.
Student Prizes & Awards
Each year, the English Department celebrates the achievements of our students across every area of study and creative practice. From original works of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction to excellence in composition, public speaking, and the study of Shakespeare, our students demonstrate extraordinary talent and dedication.
The Vernacular
The Vernacular is Trinity College’s undergraduate literary magazine, run by students for students. Our mission is to offer a space for students to share their work and celebrate their contributions to the campus writing community.
Student Advisory Board
The English Department Student Advisory Board (SAB)empowers students to shape English programs and initiatives. Our members play a key role in fostering a welcoming, inclusive space within the Department that meets the needs of English majors and minors.
Bantam Book Club
The Bantam Book Club was founded in 2023 to create a space for Trinity students to gather monthly to talk about a book. At the end of each meeting, members nominate books, and we vote to select the next month’s read. Past reads have varied in genre, from Sci-Fi and Horror to Contemporary, including books like The Secret History, Bunny, Never Let Me Go, Tender Is the Flesh, and Norwegian Wood. We welcome students of all majors to join and chat with us!
