Center for Teaching and Learning
The Trinity College Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) promotes effective teaching in all its dimensions, supporting pedagogical development for faculty across all career stages. Our mission is to provide targeted support for both new colleagues entering the profession and seasoned educators seeking to enhance their practice.
The CTL is committed to creating programming specifically relevant to the liberal arts college environment, where undergraduate education serves as the institutional cornerstone. We recognize that effective teaching at Trinity requires understanding the unique opportunities of working closely with undergraduates in a residential liberal arts setting. Our objectives center on fostering pedagogical innovation, supporting evidence-based teaching practices, and building a collaborative community of educators dedicated to student learning and engagement.
Through workshops, programs, consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities, we aim to ensure that all Trinity faculty have access to the resources and support needed to excel in their teaching mission while maintaining the intellectual engagement and personal attention that defines the liberal arts experience.
