In order to evaluate the extent of the repair, heat will need to be turned off at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, to the following buildings. In some cases, buildings will also be without hot water (cold water will remain available in all impacted buildings):
- Seabury—No heat; no hot water
- Northam—No heat; no hot water
- Jarvis—No heat; no hot water
- Hamlin—No heat; yes, hot water
- Mather—No heat; yes, hot water
- Austin Arts—No heat; yes, hot water
- Clement Chemistry—No heat; yes, hot water
- Chapel—No heat; yes, hot water
Once the area is cooled enough and safe for a repair crew to enter the space, they will evaluate the extent of the repair and create a plan for the next phase. Heat and hot water will be restored by the end of the day on October 29.
Once the extent of the repair is known, a permanent repair will be scheduled soon, and we will share updates with the community in advance of any work that will occur.
