The top-ranked Trinity College women’s squash team won the 2024 Howe Cup on Sunday, March 3, to become the Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) national collegiate team champions. Trinity defeated No. 3 Princeton, 6-2, in the finals held in Philadelphia.

This marks the Trinity women’s squash team’s first national title since 2014, which was the last time the Howe Cup went to a team other than Harvard University. The Bantams completed an undefeated season, with a record of 17-0.
The Trinity women dominated, registering three three-set sweeps from Nouran Youssef ’24, Madeleine Hylland ’24, and Hannah Chukwu ’26. Jana Safy ’25 took down her Princeton opponent in four sets, as did teammate Lulu Palacios Benitez ’25. Kara Lincou ’27 had a tougher match before clinching the five-set win after a 14-12 rally.
The eighth annual Trinity Athletics Giving (TAG) Week set new records for both the number of donors and total dollars raised, with 2,713 people contributing $1,706,561 to support Bantam athletics.
The College Squash Association recognized Joachim Chuah ’26 with the Skillman Award, presented annually to a senior men’s player who demonstrates exceptional sportsmanship and a consistently high level of play throughout their collegiate career.
The Trinity College men’s squash team defeated Harvard University in the 2026 College Squash Association’s championship match on March 8, capturing the Potter Cup and the program’s 18th national team title.
Trinity alumna hockey player and former assistant hockey coach Kim Weiss ’11 has advanced her career quickly and is now assistant coach of the Colorado Eagles, the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. “I always knew I wanted to coach,” she said.
