Trinity College Provides Backdrop for Film
The film crew for a feature-length Tollywood production recently descended on Trinity College, capturing footage of iconic campus locations and using student volunteers for several scenes.
The company pursued production of its forthcoming romantic comedy at the prestigious liberal arts institution in October. Trinity served as the backdrop for the portion of the story set on an American college campus and filmmakers invited members of the Trinity community to participate in the dance scenes.
As many as 60 crew and cast members were on campus each day for the filming, which was completed over the course of a weekend and Trinity Days. Featured locations included the Long Walk, Trinity Chapel, Cinestudio, Mather Hall dining room, library, football field, and residence halls.
Tollywood refers to the Indian Telugu-language movie industry.
