The project is a component of the Urban Environmental Justice in Greater Hartford grant funded by the Andrew W. Trinity College recently received the donation of a telescope observatory dome, which is expected to be set up on the roof of McCook and outfitted with a Celestron 11” Schmidt–Cassegrain telescope.

Detection devices are normally large and prohibitively expensive. This device would be a fraction of the cost and use commonly available components.
