This year, Trinity College’s Bicentennial Fall Weekend was an autumnal celebration combining the traditions of Homecoming and the kinship of Family Weekend. The mercurial weather forecast did nothing to dim the vibrant backdrop of fall foliage across the Hartford campus.

On Friday, the doors of College labs and lecture halls were thrown open to alumni and families while outside, campus tours wound paths around a campus that is ever evolving. An array of events in the heart of campus drew classmates and friends alike.

Friday and Saturday, members of the community filled the Austin Arts Center for three performances of JOY!, a spectacle of music, dance, and circus, that featured college and high school students alongside professional performers.

Throughout the weekend, the Bantams met rivals on the field and court with mixed outcomes. Saturday’s matches logged the following outcomes: football lost against Middlebury College, 20-15; volleyball won against Connecticut College, 3-2; men’s soccer lost against Middlebury, 2-0; women’s soccer won against Middlebury, 2-0; and field hockey lost against Middlebury, 6-2.
