AHIS 224 and AHIS 286 Architectural Models, Curated by the students of spring 2026 courses AHIS 224: Understanding Architecture and AHIS 286: Modern Architecture

Students in architecture classes – Understanding Architecture (AHIS 224) and Modern Architecture (AHIS 286) – taught by Professor Willie Granston were invited to create scale models of significant buildings as part of their final project. These are some examples of the work produced in these classes.

These architectural models are on temporary loan from the students, whom we thank for sharing their work with the Trinity community.

These models were previously exhibited in Making the Box: Trinity Students Design Building Models in Scheuch Atrium. To read Dr. Willie Granston’s reflections on these courses, you can check out the Watkinson blog post here.

Visiting Assistant Professor of Fine Arts Willie Granston brought his Modern Architecture class to the Watkinson Library on November 21, 2024, for a look at Trinity College’s growth and development in the 20th century. (Photo: Nick Caito)
