Trinity F1RST Scholars Program
The Trinity F1RST Program is a highly engaging and interactive program designed to prepare new, first-generation students for a successful transition to college.
Trinity F1RST Scholars was created to complement the rich lived experiences earned by students who are first in their family to complete a college degree. Students will engage in energizing workshops and skills practices while connecting with upper-year peers as well as Trinity faculty and staff through shared identity. Trinity F1RST offers students a range of opportunities to practice skills critical for achieving college success: self-advocacy, eco-system development, academic engagement, and Design Thinking.
2024 Trinity F1RST Scholars ParticipantThis program truly brought me the spirit of home in Hartford.
2024 Trinity F1RST Scholars ParticipantThe First-Gen orientation program provided me with a breath of relief to be surrounded by others who share similar experiences. Despite us all being first-generation college students, I was amazed and admired by everyone’s unique experiences, and even more so their willingness and vulnerability to share them.
