Upcoming Events
This spring, Information Services is hosting a significant number of events. Announcements of events will be posted to Trinity Today, but some highlights include: 
  • Celebrating Black History month with an Afrofuturism books exhibit; the “I’ll make me a world”: Creativity and Community in the Harlem Renaissance exhibit; and the transcribe-a-thon on Frederick Douglass Day, in collaboration with the Colored Conventions Project. We’ll be working on documents by the black feminist Anna Julia Cooper from 12-2pm in LITC 182.  
  • On February 28th and 29th we host the Connecticut Digital Humanities Conference in partnership with Yale, Wesleyan, UConn, and Connecticut College. 
  • In March, in partnership with the Wadsworth Atheneum & the New Britain Museum of American Art, we will host an art+feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thon for the third consecutive year, followed by the second Day of Digital Scholarship​ on April 2nd. 
  • The Watkinson Library is introducing a new lecture series: the inaugural Ostrom Enders Ornithology Lecture will be given by Scott Weidensaul, April 9th.  
  • The Spring Institute for Teaching with Technology is scheduled for May 14th, focused on open access and sustainability. Among other activities, there will be presentations by Paige Morgan (Digital Publishing & Copyright Librarian, U of Delaware) on open access scholarship, and Min Hyoung Song (Professor of English, Director of Asian-American Studies, Boston College) on assignments of everyday practice.
