Reverberations asks the question, “Who are we when we push beyond the boundaries of what seems possible?” Playing with the limitations of their media, the artists each transform the materials they use to provide new context and invite users to question their own perceptions.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, November 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At a free artist talk on Sunday, November 22, at 2:00 p.m., artist and Trinity alumna Dana Simmons ’06 will discuss with Wu and Bari their creative processes and material challenges. The Windsor Art Center is located at 40 Mechanic Street in Windsor, Connecticut.

In addition to her position at Trinity, Wu is the chair of Touchstone Foundation for the Arts in Washington, D.C.

Wu’s work acknowledges the sensational and perceptual properties of materiality and then transforms the materials from their original forms and purpose to present them within new contexts. Her work has been reviewed by The Washington Post and has been exhibited in galleries and museums including Denise Bibro Fine Art, Katzen Museum, Huntington Museum of Art, Reece Museum, Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania, and CICA Museum in South Korea.
