As the culmination of the academic year, the month of May included many highlights: Commencement and all of its preparations, Baccalaureate, the Trinity Film Festival, a staff and faculty retirement celebration, a tree planting for Charter Day, and much more.

August was a time of renovation and restoration at Trinity, as residence halls, classrooms, and athletic fields were improved in anticipation of students returning. As August came to an end, new students began to arrive for Pre-Orientation Programs that took them all across campus and the city of Hartford.
Anthony M. Messina, John R. Reitemeyer Professor of Political Science, Emeritus, has received a 2026 Career Achievement Award from the American Political Science Association’s Section on Migration and Citizenship.
Summer 2026 was filled with campus improvement projects, including progress on infrastructure updates, upgrades to classrooms and first-year residence halls, athletics facilities renovations, dining enhancements, beautification projects, and more.
