A broad range of topics are found at the intersection of practice and theory in writing centers, including socio-cultural dynamics, grammar instruction, English as a Second Language, learning disorders, critical reading, writing processes, and interpersonal communication. This course encourages students to create new knowledge about writing and tutor research.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal is to focus on how to help student-writers from all disciplines and levels of writing experience to understand their assignments, coach them in the generative stages of writing, provide feedback to their drafts, and help them in the final stages of their writing.
