Etched in History<\/h1>\n

In the 18070’s, slate roof tiles sat atop Jarvis Hall. When it was time for them to be removed, someone saw an opportunity and Trinity kept the slate tiles in a storage unit off campus. In Spring 2026 the slate pieces were cut down to the size of coasters and Tom Eytan then spent hours laser etching 300 pieces for Honors Day.<\/p>\n

The pieces were such a hit that full size tiles were also etched and given as recognition awards to Trinity Staff who have worked here for 25+ years. This project was a collaboration between several departments within Events and Campus Operations and The Hatchery and turned what would have been construction scrap into beautiful pieces that allowed our community to own a piece of Trinity history.<\/p>\n
