The staff ombudsperson is here for you!
Director, Faculty Grants and Sponsored Research
Kristin joined Trinity in 2010 as the Director of Faculty Grants and Sponsored Research. Prior to joining Trinity, she worked as a labor and employment attorney, the Director of Career Services at UCONN Law School, and a Director of Development for the UCONN Foundation. She loves talking to people about their work, which makes supporting Trinity faculty pursuing funding for their research particularly rewarding. She is excited to serve as Ombuds for the staff at Trinity College. Kristin has a B.A from Bates College and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. She works at her own work-life balance while raising daughters Abby and Greta and a Fidelco dog, Nash, with her spouse Chris, serving on the Board for the Foundation for West Hartford Public Schools and as an active Justice of the Peace.
Coordinator of Student Accessibility Resources
Lori joined Trinity in 2005 as a part time student health insurance manager in the Student Health Center. Her responsibilities included selecting and implementing the student health insurance programs. She established a grant program for students who required financial assistance. In 2011, she began her work in the newly created office for student disability services. Lori’s vision for Trinity’s Student Disability office (now called Student Accessibility Resources) not only provided support for students with disabilities, but also included the completion of an accommodations testing center. This type of testing center was one of the first in the NESCAC.
Lori has three children, Will, 27 years old, Julia, 25 (Trinity Class of 2018) and Seth, 22, and has been married for 31 years to her husband, Len. They have two yellow labs, Murphy and Tucker.
She is honored to serve as the Staff Ombudsperson. Her hope is to continue her service to the Trinity College community in this expanded fashion and lend her years of experience to our staff.
