Transportation<\/h5>\n

There is lots to do downtown, and with your free Bantam Bus Pass<\/a>, getting between downtown and Trinity is a breeze. The 61 stops at Broad Street\/Vernon Street and takes you downtown, as well as the 37\/39\/41 route on New Britain Avenue.<\/p>\n

Housing<\/h5>\n

There are many apartment options downtown, including Front Street Lofts<\/a>, Hartford 21<\/a>, Capewell Lofts<\/a>, and more. Downtown options are very convenient but tend to run on the pricier side. Other neighborhoods might be best if you are looking for a more affordable option.<\/p>\n

Arts & Entertainment<\/h5>\n

Catch a comedy show in the basement of the City Steam Brewery<\/a>, or an improv show at Sea Tea<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"Go for a stroll on Pratt Street and check out some local businesses, like Hartford Prints!<\/a>\u2014the best place to get your new Hartford mug and other gift items or Bloom Bake Shop<\/a>, a coffee shop, bakery, and flower shop in one! \u00a0Pratt Street is also where the LGBT pride festival is held every year along with block parties including a monthly Salsa Social.<\/p>\n

Downtown also houses most of Hartford’s stage theatres, such as Hartford Stage<\/a> and TheaterWorks<\/a>; it’s not far from the famous Bushnell Theatre<\/a>, either.<\/p>\n

The country’s oldest public art museum, the Wadsworth Atheneum<\/a>, is downtown as well, and offers free admission to Trinity students!<\/p>\n

The Hartford Public Library<\/a> even has some interesting and free events, including jazz concerts and public lectures.<\/p>\n

If you’re in town for baseball season, be sure to catch a game at Dunkin’ Donuts Park<\/a>. Local restaurants have stalls in the stadium, so even if you’re not a sports fan there is lots to enjoy\u2014including a miniature petting zoo!<\/p>\n

Cuisine<\/h5>\n

Downtown doesn’t have as many restaurants as other neighborhoods, but there are still some great \"\"options. Max Downtown<\/a> is the swankiest place in Hartford and will be kind to your tastebuds if not your wallet; the same goes for the sushi at Feng Restaurant<\/a>\u00a0and Italian options at Salute<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cheaper downtown options that are worth checking out include the aforementioned City Steam Brewery, Dhaba Wala Indian Kitchen (also on Uber Eats), and Sunberry Cafe for some solid ramen.<\/p>\n
