Welcome to Trinity!

We are excited you have chosen to join our community. Our mission is to prepare students to be bold, independent thinkers who lead transformative lives. An essential component of your experience at Trinity will be the opportunity to meet, get to know, work with, and establish long lasting relationships with people from all over the world. It’s our responsibility to provide you with a range of opportunities to enhance your ability to interact and communicate effectively in these new relationships.

One way we are meeting that responsibility is by requiring all incoming students to complete an online course, “DiversityEdu: Personal Skills for a Diverse Campus.” It should take about an hour to complete. Please be advised that not completing this course will result in serious consequences affecting academic registration for the fall semester.

The online course will provide a foundation for conversations and experiences that will occur during New Student Orientation and continue throughout your time at Trinity.  My hope is that you will approach this course and all of these opportunities with curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to learn something that may help you better understand how you view the world, and how someone else might view it.

How to Complete the Course

You will receive an email sent to your Trinity College email account with instructions on how to access your Diversity Education account. Please click the link and login using your Trinity College email account as soon as you receive the email. Upon signing in, click on the “DiversityEdu: Personal Skills for a Diverse Campus” module within the “My Assignments” dashboard to get started. You may pause and return to the module at any time.

Again, welcome to Trinity and the exciting journey that you’re about to begin!

Sincerely,

Dr. Anita Davis
