For instructions on adding additional MFA methods, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/account-billing\/download-microsoft-authenticator-351498fc-850a-45da-b7b6-27e523b8702a\">Microsoft&#8217;s setup page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h1>One Time Codes<\/h1>\n<p>You can use one-time password codes generated by the Authenticator app, even if your mobile device is in airplane mode or has no cellular or Wi-Fi network connection. To use this method, you must have already configured the Authenticator app as your authentication method.<\/p>\n<p>Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone or tablet and select your\u00a0<strong>Trinity email account<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9023 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/lits\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2025\/05\/Viewer.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"532\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/lits\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2025\/05\/Viewer.png 258w, https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/lits\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2025\/05\/Viewer-145x300.png 145w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, go to log in to the application or resource on your computer that you need to access. After entering your Trinity credentials, you will be prompted to verify your identity. Choose &#8220;I can\u2019t use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now.&#8221;\u00a0NOTE: The wording on this option will vary based on what&#8217;s set as your primary authentication method.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9031 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/lits\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2025\/05\/Viewer-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/lits\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2025\/05\/Viewer-1.png 472w, https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/lits\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2025\/05\/Viewer-1-258x300.png 258w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You will then be shown the list of other authentication methods you have set up.
