There are two different ways to do this: 1) migrate your account to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/reclaimhosting.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reclaim Hosting<\/a>\u00a0and pay a yearly fee to them for hosting the account, or 2) move your account to a different hosting provider.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Move to Reclaim Hosting<\/h3>\n<p>Migrating a user account from Trinity\u2019s Domain of One\u2019s Own instance to a Reclaim Shared Hosting server is actually quite a simple process since Reclaim manages both servers.<\/p>\n<p>Unless you have registered a domain name for your site (see below), follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose one of the shared hosting accounts that Reclaim offers, such as the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.reclaimhosting.com\/cart.php?a=add&amp;pid=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student\/Individual Hosting plan option<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the option for \u201cUse a subdomain from Reclaim Hosting.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Complete the sign-up process and pay the invoice.<\/li>\n<li>Send a support request to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:support@reclaimhosting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">support@reclaimhosting.com<\/a>\u00a0with the following message:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Hello Reclaim Hosting Support,<br \/>\nI am graduating from Trinity College, Hartford, CT, and I would like to migrate my account, (your domain), to Reclaim Hosting. Please let me know if you need anything else from me.<br \/>\nBest,<br \/>\n(Your Name)<\/p>\n<p>A member of Reclaim Hosting support will respond and help you get your account migrated ASAP.<\/p>\n<p>If you registered a domain name for your site (e.g., if you bought yourname.com as a way for people to access your site, in addition to youname.domains.trincoll.edu), follow this alternate Step 2:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2a. Choose the option for \u201cI will use my existing domain and update my nameservers.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>2b. Enter your registered domain name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remember to update your information with your domain name register once the migration is complete.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Migrating Elsewhere<\/h3>\n<p>If you would like to continue using your domain after graduation but would like to migrate it elsewhere, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/community.reclaimhosting.com\/t\/generating-a-backup\/293\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Generate a full backup of your account<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Set up an account with a new hosting platform. There are many to choose from, with various prices and services offered.<\/li>\n<li>Next, follow the instructions provided by your new hosting platform on transferring domains\/migrating websites. You can find instructions for common hosting platforms below:\n<ul>\n<li>GoDaddy Transfers:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.godaddy.com\/domains\/domain-transfer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.godaddy.com\/domains\/domain-transfer<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Wix Transfers:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.wix.com\/en\/article\/transferring-a-domain-purchased-elsewhere-to-wix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/support.wix.com\/en\/article\/transferring-a-domain-purchased-elsewhere-to-wix<\/a><\/li>\n<li>WordPress Domain Mapping:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.support.wordpress.com\/domains\/map-existing-domain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/en.support.wordpress.com\/domains\/map-existing-domain\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Squarespace Domain Transfer:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.squarespace.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/206542037\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/support.squarespace.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/206542037<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you registered a domain name for your site (e.g., if you bought yourname.com as a way for people to access your site, in addition to yourname.domains.trincoll.edu), send a request to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:david.tatem@trincoll.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dave Tatem<\/a>\u00a0asking him to unlock your domain, turn privacy protect off, and send you the transfer EPP code.
