There are numerous interactive activity modules that you can add to a course section using the &#8220;+Add an activity or r<span style=\"line-height: 25.2000007629395px\">esource&#8221; button, located in the bottom right of each week or topic section.\u00a0 Some of these activities can be linked directly to the Gradebook for scoring and assessment<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 25.2000007629395px\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 25.2000007629395px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/add_an_activity-2.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1926 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/add_an_activity-2.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"489\" height=\"79\" \/><\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/2-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1927 aligncenter\" style=\"color: #555555;line-height: 25.2000007629395px\" src=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/2-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"504\" height=\"396\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The different types of available activities are shown above.\u00a0 Note that more than one can be added to a section.\u00a0 Once an activity is selected, then information about the activity is shown on the help screen on the right.\u00a0 Commonly-used activities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Assignment<\/em> or <em>Workshop<\/em> where students can upload and submit work for scoring and assessment<\/li>\n<li><em>File<\/em> to add files such as Word documents or pdfs<\/li>\n<li><em>Forum<\/em> or <em>Chat<\/em> for asynchronous and synchronous discussion and collaboration<\/li>\n<li><em>Quiz<\/em> for online assessment, including automatic or manual scoring<\/li>\n<li><em>Database<\/em> and <em>Glossary<\/em> allow participants to create and maintain a collection of entries or definitions<\/li>\n<li><em>Wiki<\/em> enables participants to add and edit a collection of web pages<\/li>\n<li><em>Lesson<\/em> offers the functionality to customize content delivery and assessment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To delete an activity, make sure that the editing mode is on. Click on the three dots from the right side of the activity to display a set of options, and then click &#8220;Delete&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/delete-option.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1928 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/delete-option.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"544\" height=\"156\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then you will need to confirm this deletion:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/confirmation_delete.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1929 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/confirmation_delete.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"446\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you decide that the activity was deleted by mistake, you can restore it by going to &#8220;More&#8221; settings from the horizontal navigation menu and selecting &#8220;Recycle bin&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2013\/12\/Screen-Shot-2021-01-04-at-7.34.57-PM.png\"><br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/recycle-bin.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1930 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/moodle\/files\/2023\/05\/recycle-bin.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"524\" height=\"220\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please note that it might take a couple of minutes after the deletion of the activity for the recycle bin to appear. The contents of Recycle Bin get erased after 7 days since the deletion of the activity.<\/p>\n<p>In the Recycle Bin section, you will see any recently deleted resources or activities.
