It encrypts your connection and verifies you as a Trinity user.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"962\"><strong data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"962\">When you need to use the Trinity VPN<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4 data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"1042\">Connect when you&#8217;re off-campus and need to reach:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>TCOnline (PeopleSoft)<\/strong>: course registration, schedules, and drop\/add (students); administrative functions (faculty and staff)<\/li>\n<li>Departmental or administrative <strong>file servers<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Internal <strong>campus systems and databases<\/strong> restricted to the Trinity network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1317\"><strong>When you don&#8217;t need VPN:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Email (Outlook, Gmail, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Moodle, Teams, Zoom, and other cloud apps<\/li>\n<li>Library databases and journals: use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/lits\/technology\/tech-support\/network\/access-library-resources-from-off-campus\/\">Access Library Resources from Off-Campus instead<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"2088\" data-end=\"2133\"><strong data-start=\"2092\" data-end=\"2133\">Setting up Trinity VPN<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2135\" data-end=\"2368\">Follow the guide for your device, then open the FortiClient app and connect whenever you need it while off campus.
