Both in my teaching and research I am interested in modern Mexican and Latin American literatures and culture, Mexico-U.S. border studies, ecocritical studies, transnational feminist studies, and the connections between text and visual art in cultural productions. I am also an abstract painter and writer, and pseudo guitarist.
