Spring 2022 brings to Trinity College many good things, including the 50th anniversary of Professor Samuel Kassow’s presence as a valued and esteemed member of our faculty.<\/p>\n

Over the course of a half-century of teaching Modern Jewish history, Russian history, and Modern European history at Trinity, Sam has inspired countless students and become one of the fondest memories of their student days for generations of alumni.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the career of this truly extraordinary scholar, teacher, and Russian historian an evening of events have been planned for Wednesday, April 27th<\/p>\n

In the event that you will not be able to join us in person, the panel discussion will be recorded and available here after April 28.<\/p>\n

\n“Samuel Kassow and the Preservation of the Jewish Past” with panelists Barbara Krishenblatt-Gimblett, Aaron Lansky, and David Roskies; Professor Jonathan Elukin will serve as Chair.<\/p>\n

5:15-5:45pm<\/strong> – Austin Arts Lobby-Reception<\/strong> (Open to Trinity Community)<\/em><\/p>\n

6:00-7:30pm<\/strong> – Washington Room, Mather Hall: Dinner<\/strong> in Sam’s Honor – (Invitation Only)<\/em><\/p>\n

8:00-9:45pm<\/strong> – Cinestudio: A<\/strong> showing of the documentary<\/strong> (Open to Trinity Community)<\/em>
