This is also the deadline to <em>request<\/em> Letters of Recommendation (minimum of 3). See further guidance below. Attached here is a guide you may share with anyone writing a letter of recommendation on your behalf:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/health-professions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/123\/2025\/01\/Guidelines-for-Letter-Writers-2025-3.docx\"> Guidelines for Letters of Recommendation Faculty Writers<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The letterhead forms can be found here:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MD programs: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/health-professions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/123\/2025\/02\/HPAC_Committee_Letterhead-2025revised-AMCAS.docx\">HPAC_Committee_Letterhead -AMCAS<\/a><\/li>\n<li>DO programs: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/health-professions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/123\/2025\/02\/HPAC_Committee_Letterhead-2025revised-AACOMAS.docx\">HPAC_Committee_Letterhead \u2013 AACOMAS<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Dental school: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/health-professions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/123\/2025\/02\/HPAC_Committee_Letterhead-2025revised-ADEA.docx\">HPAC_Committee_Letterhead \u2013 ADEA<\/a><\/li>\n<li>TYPE your Name, Class Year and Professional School or Program (Allopathic Medical School, Osteopathic Medical School, or Dental School) in the correct lines on the form.\u00a0 Your letter will be printed on this form, so be sure that this is done <em>exceptionally<\/em> neatly.<\/li>\n<li>Indicate whether you wish the Committee Letter to be Confidential or Non-Confidential by signing your name and writing the date in the appropriate box. (Professional schools generally expect a confidential letter).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requesting letters of recommendation earlier is better.\u00a0 Two letters MUST be from Trinity SCIENCE faculty and one letter MUST be from a NON-SCIENCE faculty. (These are expectations for many programs.) One or two additional letters may be submitted at the students discretion (athletic coaches, job supervisors, research mentors, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Letter writers will have until April 6 to submit their letters to Kathy Mallinson (<a href=\"mailto:kmallinson@trincoll.edu\">kathy.mallinson@trincoll.edu<\/a>). Letters should be signed and on letterhead.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong> It is your responsibility to check the status and content of your file by contacting Kathy Mallinson and to remind writers of your deadline. Writers must send recommendations directly to Kathy Mallinson as a pdf file. <u>Letters must be on the official institutional letterhead and must have an original signature by the letter writer. Letters not on letterhead or signed will be returned to the letter writer.<\/u><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>April 22, 2026<\/h3>\n<p>HPAC Committee Interviews \u2013 you will be contacted in early April with the names of the committee members who will interview you.\u00a0 You must contact them by April 22 to schedule interviews during the months of April and May at your mutual convenience.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>May 2026<\/h3>\n<p>AACOMAS, AMCAS and AADSAS usually open to receive new applications in early May \u2013 you will have the month of May and early June to complete your application.\u00a0 This will take some time.<\/p>\n<p>Submit a copy of your primary application and letter of evaluation request form (AMCAS and AACOMAS application) to <a href=\"mailto:kathy,mallinson@trincoll.edu\">Kathy Mallinson<\/a>\u00a0and \u2018cc\u2019 to <a href=\"mailto:alison.draper@trincoll.edu\">Prof. Alison Draper.<\/a> Use Prof. Draper&#8217;s name and contact information (alison.draper@trincoll.edu; 860-297-5189) to request a committee letter in the system.<\/p>\n<p>The HPAC Committee will meet to review applicant folders in late May and will submit committee letters to AMCAS, AACOMAS and AADSAS in mid June or within two weeks of receiving an official request for letter.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Summer 2026<\/h3>\n<p><u>Follow AMCAS, AACOMAS, and AADSAS instructions<\/u> &#8211; Submit all secondary applications and summer updates to individual professional schools.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare for interviews.<\/p>\n<p>Please notify HPAC of interviews and acceptances by e-mailing <a href=\"mailto:kathy.mallinson@trincoll.edu\">Kathy Mallinson<\/a> and let us know as you have questions!
