Parents Leadership Council

Join the Trinity College Parents Leadership Council

The Trinity College Parents Leadership Council is the volunteer organization for Trinity’s parent outreach efforts. Membership on the Parents Council provides an opportunity to participate in the growth and development of Trinity while fostering stronger ties to your student’s experience and the Trinity community. Parents Leadership Council members support the College’s strategic initiatives and enhance the experience for all Trinity students.

Getting Involved

The Parents Leadership Council traditionally works closely with College Advancement and the Center for Student Success and Career Development. If your passion or expertise lies outside of these areas, we will connect you to the appropriate resources at Trinity.

Parents Leadership Council members who provide annual unrestricted support at the leadership level of $10,000 or more are invited to join the Parent Directors of Trinity College. In addition to Long Walk Societies and Chair’s Circle benefits, Parent Directors are invited to attend two meetings per year on campus that provide exclusive access to Trinity’s president, senior administrators, and faculty.
Class Chairs of the Parents Leadership Council serve as the primary contact between Trinity College and their fellow parents.  They provide annual unrestricted support to the Parents Fund at the Long Walk Societies level.  Class Chairs encourage other Bantam parents to join them in supporting the college.  These engaged families are invited to become Parent Directors of Trinity College.
Class chairs can assist in several ways:
      • Solicit Trinity parent peers
      • Sign communications from the Office of Family Giving
      • Make welcome calls to new families
      • Host events including summer welcome receptions or regional parent gatherings
Parents who are interested in hosting a reception for incoming students and/or making welcome phone calls to the families of incoming first-year students can volunteer with the Admissions Office. Admissions volunteers are ambassadors for Trinity and engage with students in their community. Parents interested in volunteering with the Career Development Center offer internships/externships, host informational interviews, and/or serve on a career panel.
