The Trinity College Fund

When you give to the Trinity College Fund, you engage directly with the college, you connect yourself to this historic campus, and you transform the lives of today’s students. You are an essential partner, supporting the professor who teaches critical thinking, the coach who shows student athletes how to be a leader, and the mentor who sets students on their professional path.

The Trinity College Fund serves as a necessary complement to our endowment, fully dedicated to the present needs of the college. Unrestricted, annual gifts support Trinity’s current priorities and give the college flexibility to meet immediate needs throughout the year and to take advantage of new opportunities as they arise. We understand that our alumni, parents, and friends are passionate, so within the Trinity College Fund, you can direct your gift to one of seven priorities. By supporting what matters to you, you make it matter to others.

Trinity College Fund Priorities

Support Trinity's Greatest Need

Support the college's greatest needs

Flexible, immediate, and far-reaching, your gift allows Trinity to direct your support to meet the greatest current needs on campus, touching every facet of the Trinity experience and every Trinity student.

Invest in Financial Aid

Financial aid and scholarships

Trinity is dedicated to meeting the full, calculated financial need of all financial aid applicants we admit, and each year, we commit more than $30 million of our own funds to financial aid. Invest in financial aid to allow students to focus on making the most of their Trinity experience.

Advance Academic Excellence

Outstanding faculty, academic programs, and research opportunities

At Trinity, the classes are small and the teachers know each student by name. Undergraduates take part in cutting-edge research and publish their findings. The college offers hundreds of academic internships, nine Trinity-administered study-away programs, and more than 90 approved external study-away programs. Your gift advances academic excellence across 41 majors—you can even make your gift in honor of or in memory of a professor who touched your life.

Support Student Life

Student activities, clubs and organizations, diversity, etc.

We know that the Trinity experience extends beyond the classroom. Student government, clubs, cultural organizations, concerts, lectures, movies, community service, and more shape a student’s time as a Bantam. When you support student life, you provide a balance to Trinity’s rigorous academics.

Champion Student-Athletes

Varsity, club, and intramural teams; Ferris Athletic Center; playing fields; and wellness programs

More than 40 percent of Trinity students participate in a varsity or club sport, and when you support athletics, you touch the athletes and the students on the sidelines who are cheering for them. Trinity’s NESCAC athletes are a source of pride for students, alumni, parents, and friends. Ferris Athletic Center is open to all, providing essential wellness and fitness resources. You can direct your gift to support a specific team or Trinity Athletics as a whole. Go Bants!

Enhance Technology and Learning

Raether Library and Information Technology Center

Trinity is proud to have one of the largest college libraries in New England, the Raether Library and Information Technology Center, with close to 1 million volumes on campus; access to nearly 3 million more through a library consortium; a 1.9 million-item digital collection of ebooks, ejournals, databases, and streaming audio/video; rare book collections; state-of-the-art media labs; and spaces for group and quiet study.
Your support enhances learning and technology in and out of the classroom.

Cultivate Music, Arts, and Culture

Collections, exhibitions, concerts, speakers, and events

The arts permeate life on Trinity’s campus and enrich the experiences of all of our students. Throughout the year, Trinity hosts concerts, art exhibitions, speakers, theater and dance performances, avant-garde cinema, film festivals, and events. Your support fosters creativity and brings new experiences to all students and the Hartford community.

Payable by June 30, all Trinity College Fund gifts are used in the fiscal year in which they are received. We invite you come back to campus to see your support at work ’neath the elms.

"What I cherish most about teaching at Trinity is the close relationships that I form with my students, since the class sizes are relatively small. Teaching theater at a liberal arts institution like Trinity College – where students with a wide range of interests and majors participate in classes and productions – is a wonderful match."

–Barbara Karger, associate professor of theater and dance
