{"id":1309,"date":"2025-08-06T13:35:44","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T13:35:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/diversity-equity-inclusion\/?page_id=1309"},"modified":"2026-04-16T16:45:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T16:45:35","slug":"student-emergency-and-equity-fund","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/community-belonging\/student-emergency-and-equity-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Emergency and Equity Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Student Emergency and Equity Fund (SEEF) is a collaborative effort between the Office of Community and Belonging and the division of Student Success and Enrollment Management. <strong>This initiative provides students with financial\u00a0assistance\u00a0for significant, unforeseen, unavoidable emergencies and unexpected expenses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These funds are limited and are made available by generous support from the College and gifts from our alumni, student, parent, and employee community to help ensure opportunities for our students to thrive and succeed at Trinity despite financial hardships.<\/p>\n<p>This fund has proudly supported over 2,000 students since its inception with a variety of different needs and unforeseen circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>Though any student may decide to apply to SEEF for their specific needs, there are many other offices that aid and support students with specific types of financial need. The SEEF committee, working with its campus partners, may refer an applicant to those resources for assistance depending on the nature of the request.<\/p>\n<p>Students may apply for funds after reviewing and actively pursuing all other reasonable means of support and resources. (Family, friends, personal credit, other personal resources, and relevant college offices.)<\/p>\n<p>Approval of emergency and equity funding is at the discretion of the Student Emergency and Equity Fund Administrator and is dependent on the eligibility of the request and availability of funds<strong>. Due to the volume of requests, students are encouraged to apply for non-emergency assistance at least two weeks in advance of deadlines and\/or due dates.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are unsure whether your request is appropriate for SEEF funding, please do not hesitate to apply for consideration and explain your circumstances and needs.
