Allowable expenses include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>stipends for community partners to meet with your students<\/li>\n<li>student transportation to community partner sites<\/li>\n<li>book and instructional materials, or printing costs<\/li>\n<li>video or photography equipment or services<\/li>\n<li>hourly wages for community learning teaching assistants<\/li>\n<li>refreshments for events with community partners<\/li>\n<li>other relevant expenses approved in advance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For any questions, contact erica.crowley@trincoll.edu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Reserve and Receive Community Learning Course Assistance Funds:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Step 1 \u2013 Please notify us in advance by filling out this quick online\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSepwYvbcLH7GQYCyRDV_VOfdXjaCE2JkXD21NYpbDTCTSUrcg\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Community Learning fund reservation form<\/a>. Submit this by the end of the second week of classes so that we can plan our budget accordingly. If you do not submit a reservation in advance, we may not be able to fund your course.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2 \u2013 Write a rich one-paragraph description of the community learning component of your course, attach a copy of your syllabus, and email to Erica Crowley for approval. Submit this anytime during the semester. Optionally, include any course assignments or photos that you give us permission to share on CHER social media channels or website.<\/p>\n<p>Step 3 \u2013 Download this <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1ljz_AW0aKKrRv4B0ztwkoJ_vBknGcWJn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Community Learning fund expense form in Excel format <\/a>and list up to $500 of allowable expenses per approved course.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To reimburse you or individual students, include all receipts (if paper receipts, submit originals). If paid by credit card, include a copy of your statement or similar proof-of-payment.<\/li>\n<li>To pay stipends to community partners or local experts, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-pdf\/fw9.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download a federal W-9 form<\/a> for them to complete and submit.<\/li>\n<li>To pay hourly wages to student teaching assistants, download and submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/accounting\/payroll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trinity student payroll form<\/a> in advance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Send all reimbursement materials to Erica Crowley.
