President’s Fellows<\/h2>\n

The Society of President\u2019s Fellows was founded in 1974 to recognize outstanding student achievement in their respective majors. The Fellows, who have been nominated by their departments or programs for this honor, meet four times each academic year with the President and various faculty members to discuss topics of interest.<\/p>\n

The Frederick K. Errington Prize<\/h2>\n

The Frederick K. Errington prize is named in honor of Professor Emeritus Errington, author or co-author of over 8 books and 30 articles. The prize recognizes academic excellence and future promise in Anthropology.<\/p>\n

Other Awards<\/h2>\n

Our students are encouraged to engage with opportunities and resources offered by the American Anthropological Association. In spring 2024, Shay Richards (Class of 2025) was awarded the\u00a0Ina Rosenthal-Urey Mentorship Award<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Anthropology majors have also been recognized with distinctions such as the Newman Civic Fellowship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Anthropology majors, Neo Khambule (Class of 2026) and Tiffany Huang (Class of 2026) co-wrote a blog for the Council for Museum Anthropology with Prof. Guzm\u00e1n about their museum curation summer research experience as part of Trinity\u2019s Public Humanities Collaborative in summer 2024. The blog was entitled, Material Storytelling: Student Reflections on Object-Based Research<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ella Samson (Class of 2026), whose research interests include African traditional religions, religion and mental illness or other altered states of consciousness, was one of the 2025-2025 Greenberg Center Undergraduate Research Fellows. She was also awarded a research grant by the Center for Caribbean Studies to support her research project which includes ethnographic interviewing.
