Why did you choose Trinity?
Being undecided when I first came to college, I wanted to take advantage of the liberal arts curriculum and try different classes before I decided on a major. Apart from flexibility in academics, I was looking for a close-knit community where I could form meaningful relationships with both my peers and my professors. I also really wanted to be in a city while still living on campus.

Favorite Class:
Global Politics with Professor Baker

Favorite Professor:
Ibrahim Shikaki

Cocurricular Activities:
VP of The Women’s Network Trinity Chapter, First Year Seminar mentor.

What do you love most about Trinity?
How curious and engaged the students are.

What are your professional goals and/or career plans?
I would love to work in the Hospitality industry in the future. In my country, being hospitable and generous has been valued more than bravery or courage in the past. I’d like to continue that tradition and take a piece of my home everywhere with me.

Favorite Place on Campus:
I love having a cozy space that’s just my own so I would say my room.

Favorite Place in Hartford:
Pratt Street in the Spring

What’s the most impactful/favorite book you’ve ever read?
Difficult Women by Roxane Gay

What advice do you have for prospective students applying to college?
It might sound a bit cliche but being honest and staying true to yourself is really important. I think most colleges want to see how unique you are so make that unique side of you shine in the application!

What’s one thing you wish you knew before coming to college?
There will be tons of opportunities waiting for you at college. It does not mean you have to do every single one of them at the same time. Learn to prioritize and spend time on activities that you are actually passionate about. it’s important to learn how to manage not only your time, but your energy as well.
