Trinity in Paris

Founded in 2006, Trinity in Paris offers students the opportunity to spend a Semester or full Academic Year of study in a dynamic world city. The Trinity in Paris program oprovides strong academic options for students interested in French, History, Art History, Political Science, Philosophy, and other areas in the humanities and social sciences. Open to all levels of French language, Trinity in Paris is a “hybrid” study abroad program, meaning that students enroll in a combination of a Trinity-taught core course, and local Parisian university courses. Courses are available in both English and French.

Students on the program use the city as their classroom, attending regular academic excursions to museums, historical sites and cultural attractions.  Students have the opportunity to explore all the artistic treasures and cultural landmarks the city has to offer in its twenty districts (called arrondissements), including Sacré-Cœur at Montmartre; Notre-Dame Cathedral in the Île de la Cité; the Jardin des Tuileries; and the famous Parisian avenue, the Champs-Élysées. Home to legendary artists, poets, intellectuals, politicians, and scientists,  Paris also features one of Europe’s biggest economies and hosts many international organizations, such as UNESCO and the Organization for Economic Co-operations and Development (OECD).

Beginning Fall 2019, Trinity is pleased to announce that Trinity in Paris will be administered by a Trinity faculty resident director. Professor Todd Ryan will serve as core course professor and administrative director for 2019-2020.
