Housing + Meals

Trinity in Barcelona housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Spanish lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor of Spain by living with a Spanish family. 



Homestays are the norm for Spain, and are an important part of the Trinity in Barcelona Summer Program. Homestays enable students to rapidly improve their Spanish language proficiency while learning about the culture and people of Barcelona. This total immersion experience offers students valuable insight into Spanish and Catalan culture and provides a richer vision of traditions, customs, and day-to-day life. Summer participants living in homestays with Spanish families that have been carefully selected by Trinity in Barcelona Resident Staff. There is one student per family and homestays are typically located between 15-30 minutes of the Trinity in Barcelona Center by metro. Laundry service is provided once per week.


Students living with families are provided with breakfast and dinner with the family.  All other meals are the responsibility of the students.

Housing Disclaimer

Housing assignments for Trinity in Barcelona are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Accepted students should complete their Housing Questionnaire as soon as they have been accepted to the program. Please note that while Trinity in Barcelona cannot guarantee the housing option, every effort is made to accommodate student requests.

All students must fill out the mandatory Housing Questionnaire as part of the Trinity in Barcelona post-acceptance process. Trinity in Barcelona on-site staff make housing assignments based on the information provided by students in the housing questionnaire. For this reason, students should include any and all special considerations (including allergies and dietary restrictions) on the Housing Questionnaire—the more information the better.
