Course Selection Information

In preparation for selecting your fall courses, you should read through the course selection information found on this site. If you still have questions or are uncertain about which courses to select, you are encouraged to view one of the interactive Instagram sessions on the Bantam Network Instagram in or contact an academic adviser via email ( during the advising period, both of which will take place in June. The interactive Instagram sessions  will be casual, but informative, offering general advice and will help you with the important task of choosing courses for the fall. Inquiries submitted via email will be responded to within 24 hours. Visit the Center for Academic Advising website​ for more information about resources available to you.




2020 Course Selection Timeline:

May :

  • Complete the required online Math Placement Exam, Guided Writing Assessment, Second Language Questionnaire and STEM Questionnaire as part of your online tasks. If you will be continuing a second language that you previously studied, complete the Second Language Placement Exam for that language. All are due by May 31. 
  • Read through the information found on the links on the left side of this page.


  • June 8 - July 3 -  Advising Period  - Additional support for selecting your fall courses will be provided via interactive Instagram session s on the  Bantam Network Instagram  and email.​ 
  • ​Specific inquiries as a result of participating in the interactive Instagram sessions may be directed via the Trinity College Advising Center Office Hours, during which students may call, email, or visit. An appointment is required to visit during Office Hours. 
  • June 15 - 30 - Enter your preferred courses and alternates online through the course selection form on your portal.  Don't rush! Course selection forms are due June 30 and are not considered in the order they are received. Changes may not be made once your form has been submitted, so give considerable thought to your selections prior to submitting your form.

July : 

  • The Registrar’s Office will create your course schedules and enroll you in fall courses. You MUST complete you the Math Placement Exam, Guided Writing Assessment, and Second Language Questionnaire in order to be enrolled in fall courses and priority enrollment will be given to students who complete these tasks by the deadline. 

August :

  • Course schedules will be available for review in early August. Keep in mind that no changes can be made to your schedule until you meet with your academic adviser when you arrive on campus. All incoming students have an advance registration hold on your account preventing any changes to your schedule. Please do not call to make changes.


  • You will have an advising meeting with your academic adviser to review your fall schedule during Orientation. Once you have met, the registration hold on your account will be released. 
  • You will have the opportunity to make changes throughout the add/drop period, which opens once you have met with your adviser during Orientation and ends on September 10. Please do not call with schedule changes between August 1 and September 4.
