Mission and Assessment

The Raether LITC demonstrates commitment to the life of the mind and to the major functions of learning, teaching and research. It is home to the Information Services division, which includes College and Watkinson Libraries as well as Information Technology Services.

As the central research facility of the College, the Raether LITC is a place where students and faculty, collaborating with library and technology staff, come together for the serious work of scholarship. This integrated facility is truly a state-of-the art center for learning in the 21st century.

Mission Statement

Information Services promotes excellence and innovation in teaching, learning, and research by: 

  • Developing, preserving and providing access to collections and resources that sustain instruction and scholarship
  • Partnering with faculty in the critical and imaginative use of library collections, instructional technology, and wider information resources 
  • Providing a robust, technology-rich environment in residential, administrative, and learning spaces that anticipates the Trinity community's changing needs 
  • Maintaining an inviting facility that inspires creativity, flexibility, and innovation
