​Crisanne M. Colgan M’74

Crisanne is Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Education at St. Joseph University. She recently retired from a 41-year career in K-12 non-public and public schools. Crisanne taught high school French and English, and was a department chair and an assistant principal prior to her appointment as Senior Director of Instruction in Avon, CT. Crisanne also served as Principal at Roaring Brook School in Avon for 19 years.

Crisanne graduated with a BA in French and English from the University of Connecticut. As part of the study abroad program, Crisanne spent her senior year in France at the University of Rouen as a student in the Literature and Humanities Department. After graduating with a MA in French from Trinity, Crisanne earned a Sixth Year Diploma in Professional Education and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut. She was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies.

Crisanne’s volunteer service at Trinity includes participating as a founder’s level member of the Women’s Leadership Council, as well as being actively engaged in the Council’s Hartford area programs for students and alumnae.  Crisanne serves on the Graduate Studies Advisory Board and the Trinity Club of Hartford Executive Committee.

Other leadership service includes her election to the Board of Directors of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development at the local and international levels. Crisanne is Past President of the Avon-Canton Rotary Club, where she earned recognition by the Club as a Paul Harris Fellow.

Crisanne is honored to serve on the NAA Executive Committee and welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with members in achieving its mission.
