Studio Assistant for Wiggins Sculpture Studio

The Studio Assistant for Wiggins Sculpture Studio will work with the Trinity College Studio Arts faculty to manage a creative, orderly, and safe studio lab environment. The Studio Assistant will be primarily in charge of preparing studio lab work areas, preparing materials, and organizing hand tools. Pending experience, potential for position to involve assisting students with small projects, and ensuring that students utilize tools in a safe and orderly way.
•    Assist keeping the studio and associated equipment organized.
•    Assist the maintenance of the studio after open-shop hours activities.
•    Assist preparing tools and equipment for in-class demonstrations.
•    Assist students familiarizing themselves with tool storage organization during open studio hours.
•    Research sculpture facility processes, equipment and practices.

Helpful but not required:
•    experience with hand tools used for basic home repair (and sculpture!)
•    experience with casting

SCHEDULE:
4-10 hours a week, schedule will be set for the semester around your classes and activities.
COMPENSATION:
$11.25/hr., eligible for yearly increase
