Information Services Student Consultant

​Job Description: Information Services Desk Student Staff members assist clients with their computer related problems and library needs. A client can be anyone affiliated with the College who uses the computing facilities in any of the computer labs, dormitories or offices, or any patron of the library. IS Desk Student Staff members must be willing to try to solve problems, explain various solutions to the clients and go above and beyond to assist with directions or library requests. Communication skills and a good disposition are essential assets. IS Desk Student Staff members are expected to be familiar with the software supported by Information Services and the Library of Congress classification system. Although this does not mean knowing everything, it does mean that IS Desk Student Staff members must be familiar enough with an application and available resources to be able to troubleshoot a problem. Finally, IS Desk Student Staff members must be willing and motivated to spend the necessary time to seek out and learn the information needed to solve problems.

Starting pay: $10.10

Location: Information Services Desk at Raether Library Information Technology Center
